Phishing Email

Phishing Email
Posted on 03/25/2026

On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of last week, six of our email accounts were compromised. This allowed the perpetrator to access the address books of those accounts and send a phishing email. The message contained a link that, when clicked, allowed the perpetrator to capture login credentials and gain access to the recipient’s email account. If you received this message, we recommend that you change your email password, as your account could be compromised. If you have additional accounts that use the same email and password combination, we also recommend changing those passwords.

We have purged all of these emails from our system and secured the affected accounts. We attempted to send an email last week to all impacted users; however, it appears that message was blocked by some external email providers.

We have also implemented additional security measures to help prevent similar incidents in the future. No student data was compromised. Students who received the email were not affected, as safeguards are in place that prevent student accounts from sending or receiving external emails. This also prevented the perpetrator from sending phishing emails to external accounts.

As a reminder, if you receive an email from a school employee asking you to click on a link, do not click the link and report the message to your child’s principal.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
